Winterland Locarno is a place where winter comes to life — amid lights, emotions and the strength of a community that comes together and shares stories.

Every year, Winterland draws inspiration from an original fairy tale, created specifically to bring its imagination to life. The story becomes the theme of the event and comes to life on the façades of Piazza Grande and the city centre with spectacular audiovisual projections, transforming the square into a large open-air theatre, enveloped in a magical setting that enchants and surprises.

The event offers a world of experiences: gastronomy, ice attractions, a Christmas market, rides and a packed programme of activities, shows and concerts that bring the city to life from late November to early January. A varied and engaging entertainment programme designed to appeal to people of all ages.

Through creativity, entertainment and culture, Winterland Locarno transforms winter into a time of encounter, discovery and wonder — for residents and visitors alike.
